My Wylder Journey: Finding Freedom and Growth in Nature
A friend shared something beautiful about my name this weekend: "I love that the Y in your name represents your curious nature." And it's true—curiosity drives me. I'm always asking "why" about the things that captivate me.
Some introspection on my adventure why’s gave me a ton more appreciation for my experiences. Why do I explore? Why do I seek the outdoors? Why "Wylder"?
The first 20 years of my life were filled with challenges and survival. I faced a tough upbringing with little love or guidance. Yet, nature became my refuge, a place where I discovered a love for life and a deep appreciation for the beauty around me. It's where I learned to trust myself and others, to heal, and to embrace the thrill of the unknown.
The outdoors gave me something no other experience could—freedom and growth. The joy of stepping beyond my fears, the comfort of a community, and the profound peace of solitude have been more transformative than any accolade or therapy.
So, get out there. Protect our planet, our shared home. Face your fears head-on and overcome them. Listen to your inner callings and show up. The true treasures in life aren't always captured in photos, but they are felt in our hearts.
This is my "wylder" chapter, a journey of growth, healing, and a deep love for life.
Find your why. ❤️
