Honoring the Journey of Self-Discovery
I want to take a moment to honor the journey.
This version of me is free and ever changing like a river, finally feels safe to be a child again. Has the will & fortitude of mountains, knowing she doesn’t need to move them, but rather walk their paths with patience carrying only what she needs in life.
She’s learned to let go like the ocean, allowing things that no longer serve her to sink & decay to her deepest of depths. Gently buoying & sailing her visitors on the surface while her mysteries, magic, and life, thrive below.
She’s vast, strong, and open like the desert. Has mastered the art of walking alone, and can celebrate and break out in rhythms of dance when footprints walk alongside. Can now blossom and live softly as the desert flowers, both able to do so despite growing in the harshest, most unforgiving & unloving of environments.
She is the wild, has learned to let go of the illusion of control, and fear nothing but living in perhaps rather than mishaps. What ifs rather than “I did.”
This #womancrushwednesday take a moment to honor your journey. To appreciate where you are. How far you’ve come. Every scar, “flaw,” imperfection. Every story. It’s all what got you here. And it’s all teeming and overflowing with magic when you take a moment to really honor all that you are, have been, and will become.
As Matthew McConagughey says “let your hero be you, 10 years from now” a version of you you aspire to be, but will never reach, because they’re always 10 years ahead. Someone to compete with and look up to each day.
Rooting for you as I root and re-root myself in an effort towards growth, every day.
