Kym Wylder
A person is relaxing in a natural hot spring, surrounded by striking red rock formations and a bright blue sky with puffy white clouds. The hot spring is a shallow pool carved out of the rock, with the person sitting comfortably in the warm, mineral-rich water. The red rocks rise up dramatically around the pool, creating a secluded and intimate setting. The person is wearing a hat to shield their face from the sun, and their body is partially submerged in the steaming water. The scene captures a sense of serenity, tranquility, and connection with nature.

Favorite Hot Springs in the Western United States

HAppy hot spring season! Save this for a list of incredible springs. This year I’ve been to 30-40 different spring sites across the west, solo and with others, and I think “taking to the waters” has a lot to do with fixing my chronic joint pain, a lighter overall disposition and greater connection to our 🌍. I’ve also met some really rad humans visiting and found some personal liberation in soaking under the stars. Here’s a list of my fav 5 in the west this year: 1. Spencer hot springs, NV 2. Goldmyer Springs, WA 3. Mystic springs, UT 4. Kirkham hot springs, ID 5. Alvord hot springs, OR Go with an open mind, don’t expect to be the only one(s) there. If you get to be the only one(s), relish the fact that you scored the jackpot. Some are nude friendly, don’t make it weird. You can be a “textiler” (hot spring speak for wearing bathing suit) or a nudist, everyone is there to enjoy the experience. Go for the experience, not the photos and you will find magic in these springs flowing from the earth. Bonus points if find yourself changed for the better and possibly more connected to everything, especially yourself, as a result of being deeply present in the moments there✨
