Embracing the Outdoors: Joys and Challenges

Yes, life outdoors is more beautiful. Makes you feel more alive. More in touch and connected to the universe and our earth. Lets you find out who you are, what’s important to you, and gets us to reach our human potential. And. Shit still happens. I’ve had broken phones and lost phones (no more thanks to @hangtimegear and Koala 🐨 2.0 phone leash), sprained ankles, encounters with plants that cause burn reactions in UV rays, scads of bug bites, shale protruding from my forehead after tripping with a sprained ankle - suffering facial scarring, lost toenails, blisters GALORE, breathing in SMOKE from fires and enduring raining ash on backpacking trips 😔…. But that’s life. You have to take the good with the bad. If you really love something, like I do spending time outside, you keep showing up to the path, choosing to take steps forward despite the obstacles and the challenges that arise over time. That’s how you know its love. Because shit happens and you choose to continue to show up anyways.
