Canyoneering Adventure: Embracing New Experiences
No matter how many times you’ve done or been something/where, you can always learn more and go deeper. This was my 4th time in this canyon and first time experiencing the nearby petroglyphs, doing a guided belay to avoid a pool of water (think zip lining over water), using my micro traction device in reverse, and being the first to descend without a belay (use prusik for safety) because there were 2 of us (1st on this route, done this at other locations).
That’s what I love about this sport. A chance to ever expand your comfort zone, knowledge, appreciation for views and unique places, skills, and problem solving. Not to mention the friendships that deepen with every shared canyon, trip, experience and memory 🙏🏻
