World Oceans Day Cupcake Liner Turtle Craft
It's World Oceans Day! Celebrate by making this cute Cupcake Liner Turtle Craft and use it to teach your kids some interesting facts about sea turtles! Did you know that the temperature of the sand a baby sea turtle egg is laid on determines whether they will be male or female? So cool!
To make this craft you will need:
green cupcake liner
green construction paper
small wiggly eyes
black felt tip pen
blue construction paper
crayons
glue
scissors
Directions:
Invite kids to flatten their cupcake liner. Glue it to a piece of blue construction paper.
Have kids to draw and cut out 4 small circles, 1 medium sized circle and 1 pointy oval shape. Glue the shape to the side of the cupcake liner to make a head, legs, and tail for the turtle.
Press 2 small wiggly eyes to the turtle’s head. Use a black felt tip marker to draw a nose and mouth on the turtle.
Last, draw an under water scene on the blue paper with crayons. We drew bubbles, waves, sand, pebbles, and plants.
