This intricate and intricate form appears to be made of salt, skillfully arranged on a surface. Small, wispy clouds of white, likely also composed of salt, float around the central yellow form. In the foreground, a red paintbrush rests on the surface, suggesting that the vibrant yellow color of the central form was achieved by applying paint to the salt. The overall scene evokes a sense of creativity, artistic expression, and an intriguing exploration of unconventional materials.

Salt Art for Kids

Sometimes art is all about the process, and this Salt Art has such a cool process, your kids will want to try it again and again. What we love about this art activity is the magic way the color travels through the salt during the painting process. Since salt is inexpensive it’s no biggie to let the kids make as many paintings as they want. Supplies: Craft paper (We like using cardstock because it is thicker paper and holds the glue and salt better) Craft Glue Salt Tray Paint brush or pipette watercolor paint Directions: Lay your paper on the tray for easy cleanup. Make a picture with the glue. Sprinkle salt over the glue. Shake off the excess salt onto the tray. Add color to the salt by adding drops of paint to the salt. A little dab of color will go a long way as it spreads throughout the salt. It’s like the painting comes to life as the paint goes where it wants. Once the painting is dry the colors will fade a bit and the salt will shake off so then you can grab your salt container and start the process all over again.
