Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
So many fun "National Days" this week. Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie day so naturally we have to make these 🍪GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES🍪
Dry Ingredients:
4 Cups of Flour
3 Cups of Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 Tablespoon Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons of Salt
Mix the dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl mix the wet ingredients together.
Wet Ingredients:
1 1/3 Cup of Shortening
2/3 Cup of Butter
1/4 Cup of Water
3/4 Cup of White Sugar
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
3 Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Add 1-2 Cups of Walnuts (optional) and 1 Bag of Dark Chocolate Chips.
Store in a big, air-tight container in the fridge.
When you are ready to bake your giant chocolate chip cookies, scoop them out onto a cookie sheet, and bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Alternatively, spray your cast iron pan liberally with oil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees and let it cook for 10 minutes. Keep it in the pan until your cookie and the pan have cooled.
