Two whimsical caterpillar figurines made from recycled egg cartons. Each body is formed from a halved egg carton segment, painted in vibrant colors like green, purple, and red. Googly eyes and pipe cleaner antennae in contrasting neon hues like yellow and orange give them a playful, animated look. The craft project is designed to be an easy and engaging activity for preschool-aged children, allowing them to learn about caterpillars while exercising their creativity and fine motor skills.

Easy Preschool Caterpillar Craft

How cute is this Easy Preschool Caterpillar Craft? So simple and fun for little ones! You can use it to teach about caterpillars! You'll need: egg carton (the cardboard kind is easier to decorate) 1 carton = 2 caterpillars pipe cleaner (1/2 per caterpillar) paint, markers or stickers to decorate googly eyes Directions: Cut egg carton length wise so you get one long bumpy caterpillar body. I found it easiest to cut using a combo of sharp serrated knife and scissors. Paint or color the body of the caterpillar. Affix facial features (or draw them on). Poke two holes in the top of the head. Loop a half pipe cleaner through the holes and bend into shape.
