A vibrant and playful giraffe craft made with simple materials. The giraffe's body is formed by a large yellow cardstock circle covered in brown and yellow dot patterns to resemble a giraffe's distinctive spotted fur. The head is a smaller yellow circle with googly eyes, a drawn nose and mouth, and yellow cardstock ears and horns. The legs are cleverly crafted using clothespins dyed with dot markers in shades of yellow and brown. A small clothespin forms the neck, attaching the head to the body circle. The tail is made from frayed yellow cardstock attached to the back of the body. This whimsical and charming giraffe craft is an inviting project for kids, perfect for a summer day of creativity and imagination.

Giraffe Clothespin Craft

This Giraffe Craft is inviting to make on a summer day with the kids. It incorporates my favorite way to use clothespins by turning them into legs…way better than the old fashion clothes hanging days, hehe. SUPPLIES: yellow and brown dot daubers yellow card stock 2 regular clothespins and 1 mini clothespin extra small wiggly eyes scissors white school glue black felt tip pen DIRECTIONS: Trace and cut 2 circles—1 small circle and 1 large circle. Use the brown dot art marker to make the yellow circles look like giraffe fur. Use both the yellow and brown dot markers to dye the clothespins. Place the extra tiny wiggly eyes on the small circle, and use the black marker to draw a nose and mouth under them. Last, use yellow scrap paper to cut ears and horns for the giraffe. Attach them to the back of the giraffe’s head with white school glue. Glue the giraffe’s head to the small clothespin, then clip it to the large circle. Clip the large clothespins to the large circle to be the giraffe’s legs. Last, cut a tail for the giraffe from scrap cardstock. Glue it to the back of the giraffe, being sure to fray the ends with scissors.
