This is the Buddhist temple of Kinkaku-ji, also known as The Golden Pavilion (because obviously - I mean look at it).

Kyoto is an incredible city filled with history and temples, but a huge amount of modern nightlife, restaurants and markets as well.

People usually think of Japanese cities as "the traditional one", "the ultra modern one", etc., but I found that it was a lot less clear cut. Like most places. Where do you wanna go today?
