I used to see vacation as a time to take a complete break from doing anything healthy. Though I obviously love to indulge in great meals, a monitor or twelve, and take it a bit easier, I realized I feel better mentally and physically when I keep up SOME form of exercise, even just swimming in the ocean or a nice hike.

People usually think of working out as something to do for weight loss, but it helps with SO many things. As someone whose entire family is cursed with bad backs, working out helps keep me from suffering like that, it keeps my mood up, even helps me sleep better!
