The shops in the old town of Marseille are so lovely. As are most of the buildings in this part of town. •• Did you know #Marseille, and not Paris, is the oldest city in #France? It was founded in 600 BC by the Greeks (we really did do everything I guess 😊). •• Now it is the second largest city in the country and has an amazing blend of cultures and influences, especially thanks to its large North African population. •• I always think of Paris as the elegant, upscale city, while Marseille is a livelier place with a lot of soul - something I usually prefer - where you can find music and great food on every street. . . . . .
