2020 threw us all for a loop. Every plan I had in action in March changed seemingly overnight.

This has led to some sad moments and hard days. It can be easy to feel like we are just pointlessly meandering through this year, doing our best just to exist.
••
But I realized being sad won’t help. Feeling hopeless won’t help. I am grateful, now more than most times, I still have my health. I still have my mind and my drive and my dreams, and I won’t lose sight of that. There are many people going through much worse right now, which is why we also have to remember to help each other out.
••
The best we can do is keep our hopes and goals in mind, keep our connections alive to those who motivate us and make us happy, and position ourselves to just absolutely kill it when the world swings back into action. It WILL go back to normal one day. In some places, it already has.

Though some are better and some worse off, we’re all in the same storm and doing the best we can. One thing that has amazed me in my travels, going to places where it seems no one should be able to live, going to cities and countries that have been through political, economic, or natural devastation, is how incredibly resilient humans are. On the darkest day, always remember that this too shall pass. ❤️
