Fires are burning over much of the northwest LA metro area and Ventura County. This comes on the heels of a mass shooting at Thousand Oaks - there is a lot of stress and pain going on in the city right now, and a lot of people who need help.

Hundreds of thousands of people in Malibu and the Topanga area have been evacuated. Even all the way on the east side of Los Angeles, you can see the smoke flowing across the sky in the distance, as you can see in this photo. A good distance away in West Hollywood, I can smell the burning wood on my balcony.

For all of us in the LA area, let’s help in any way we can. If you can offer some extra space for an evacuated acquaintance and their pets, please do so. Reach out to everyone you know in the area. This offer stands for my acquaintances in the evacuation zone as well.
