#Mantova has to be one of the most beautiful and overlooked cities I’ve visited. In a country like Italy, where every city, town, and hillside is plastered onto brochures and bucket lists everywhere, Mantova (or Mantua) has mostly flown under the radar.

I don’t know how it’s possible that in a week of exploring this lovely Italian city, drinking Spritz in charming plazas on lazy sunny afternoons, making my way through palace after museum after palace, eating rich delicious pasta, and biking my way around the entire city center and lovely rolling countryside, I only came across one group of tourists.
