A narrow alleyway in a picturesque village or town, flanked by traditional whitewashed buildings with colorful shutters adorning the windows. The cobblestone street is lined with potted plants and vines cascading from the balconies above, creating a charming and inviting atmosphere. A vintage bicycle leans against one of the walls, adding a touch of character to the scene. The soft, muted tones and warm lighting create a dreamy, nostalgic ambiance, transporting the viewer to a bygone era.

One of my favorite things to do in #Greece: explore all the tiny alleys in villages and on the islands. •• When I was young and would visit family in #Syros, I would try to find ways to get to all the places I wanted to visit within the main town without once hitting a major street. Even years later, I’m surprised how well I can remember the convoluted map of the cobbled alleys of #Ermoupoli. •• To this day, one of the first things I love doing in a new destination is exploring all the side streets until I have a good idea of the layout of my new temporary neighborhood. Makes it feel like another home. Don’t you agree? . . . . .
