A smiling young woman stands on a city street lined with parked vehicles, overlooking a picturesque scene of the hills and skyline of San Francisco, California. The iconic Coit Tower can be seen prominently atop one of the hills in the distance, surrounded by urban residential and commercial buildings cascading down the slopes. The woman wears a casual outfit consisting of a black top and blue skirt or pants, posing casually with her long, wavy hair framing her face. The vibrant colors and distinct architecture in the background make for a quintessential San Francisco cityscape.

On top of the city of multiple hills, San Francisco. •• To keep things perfectly real with you guys (you can’t love every place equally after all), I’ve had my issues with San Francisco in the past. Perhaps it was a combination of it being a very hyped up city that couldn’t possibly live up to any expectations, and the fact that in person I found it much more unsafe, hard to navigate on foot, car, or public transport, and with a completely different local vibe than I expected. As a girl who likes wandering alone, especially at night, San Francisco has a LOT of “avoid” zones, and unfortunately many of them are in central districts with restaurants, bars, and theaters/opera houses, where you would be most likely to want to walk and visit. •• But there is no denying that San Francisco has some of the best architecture and views of any city I have explored. Even if getting to those views required extensive butt and thigh toning on 80 degree inclines. •• Have you been to San Francisco? What did you think? Comment below! . . . . .
