Located just 25 miles from the city center, Parnitha, one of the four mountains surrounding Athens, is a protected national park that gives you the impression it’s hours and hours away from the nearest...anything.

Walking through the forest trails, all you hear is leaves rustling, birds chirping; all you spot is the occasional deer, stream, wild mushroom. Not until you start your descent down the mountain do you realize Athens is sprawled out in all it’s liveliness and chaos just below you.

From forested mountains, to laid back beach communities, to bustling urban centers, to the small enclaves that leave you feeling transported to tiny villages and islands of Greece momentarily until you emerge back onto the busy and loud city streets, Athens fits a hundred worlds in one incredible city.
