The incredibly clear water of Lake Tahoe. This photo was taken when we had almost reached the shore of D.L. Bliss State Park. •• Lake Tahoe is so large that it’s often hard to believe you’re not looking out at the sea when you stare out from its shores. The beaches are all protected, so they may be hard to access, but the stunning water is worth the hike/drive. •• Tip: If you don’t get there early enough before the lower parking lots get filled - which happens really fast - you can’t drive all the way down and must walk. Aka, get there early. . . . . .
