Photos from the original reason for my campervan trip - my photobooks on Abandoned California, coming out end of 2018. •• These are the Donner Pass Summit Tunnels, abandoned railroad tracks and tunnels in the central California mountains close to Truckee. •• Important tip: you need a flashlight for long stretches of the main tunnel. And you have to scramble up a hillside to get there. But there are really cool photo opportunities, and walking through the cavernous tunnels is an amazing experience. . . . . .
