It's easy to take great photos of beautiful cities and natural wonders. But I've started to realize how much photography also leads you to find beautiful moments in places you might otherwise consider...well, boring.

My high school town always bored me a little. If you picture classic Northeast US suburbia, you're pretty much picturing that town. Green manicured lawns, a mix of colonial and newer houses spread far apart from each other, a tiny town center with not much to do, dead after 9 PM (max) and people for the most part either locked in their houses or commuting to the city for work/fun. For a night owl like me who loves exploring and socializing, not a great place to be.

But there are beautiful places and beautiful moments everywhere; I always try to look at the places I visit with a different mindset, and find things to love and marvel at even in cities and towns most people wouldn't think of visiting.

So if I can find it abroad, why not at home (at A home, at least)?
