A picturesque seaside village nestled along the rugged coastline of a Mediterranean island. Clusters of whitewashed buildings cling to the rocky hillsides, forming a charming maze of narrow streets and alleyways. The village overlooks a tranquil bay, where the deep blue waters lap against a small harbor dotted with moored boats. In the distance, towering mountains rise majestically, their peaks capped with a dusting of snow. Pockets of lush green vegetation add splashes of color to the natural landscape. The scene is bathed in a warm, golden light, creating a serene and idyllic atmosphere.

My friends in Greece think I’m really lucky to live in LA, and my friends in LA think I’m really lucky to get to be from/visit Greece. •• I love both places, so I think they are both correct. But it strikes me how, even when you live in a destination people all over the world want to visit, if you’re raised there or have lived there for a while, you tend to lose sight of its uniqueness and beauty. Routine and familiarity bog you down. •• It sometimes takes seeing a place through another’s eyes to remember that where you live probably has its own beauty as well. •• Where are you from? . . . .
