A picturesque seaside town nestled against a verdant mountainous landscape. Rows of whitewashed buildings with terracotta roofs cascade down the hillside towards a sheltered bay. The tranquil waters of the bay are dotted with numerous boats, ranging from small fishing vessels to larger yachts and sailboats. The clear blue waters reflect the warm hues of the setting sun, casting a golden glow over the scene. The town's colorful window shutters, balconies, and winding alleyways add charm and character to the Mediterranean-style architecture. This idyllic coastal retreat exudes a sense of peace and serenity, inviting visitors to slow down and savor the beauty of this timeless Greek island.

Finally got to the island of Hydra this year! Ύδρα in Greek. •• Hydra is known for not allowing cars, as the main town is mainly pedestrian only (with the exception of a couple of emergency and sanitation vehicles). •• Just over an hour ferry ride from Athens, Hydra is usually chosen for day trips, but I highly recommend staying the night. Don’t expect crazy nightlife - the island has a calmer, cozier, more refined vibe than places like Mykonos or Ios - but the serenity of the evening in Hydra, seeing the sun set over the port and hills while enjoying some ouzo and delicious seafood, without hearing a single car engine, instead listening to music and the sea, is absolutely mesmerizing. . . . . #hydra #υδρα
