A smiling young woman dressed warmly in a black winter coat with a fur-lined hood stands amidst a group of reindeer in a snowy outdoor scene. The reindeer, with their impressive antlers, surround her closely as she appears to be feeding them by hand. The setting is rustic, with wooden fences and snow-capped mountains visible in the background, creating a picturesque winter landscape reminiscent of the Arctic regions of northern Scandinavia. The woman's expression radiates joy and wonder as she interacts with these majestic animals in their natural habitat.

Continuing the holiday theme, throwback to me feeding reindeer in Norway. And trying to keep a fair distance from their antlers to avoid accidental disembowelment. Male and female reindeer both grow antlers, just at different times of the year - males to fight for females, females to fight for food for themselves and their young. They also leave their pack and go solo when they sense themselves getting close to death, so they can protect the herd by not slowing them down. This has been #darkassfactsaboutRudolph , so you’re welcome for that in the holiday season. Did you also know there’s a whole ethnic group of people in northern Scandinavia called the Sami who are mostly reindeer herders? I wrote all about them, you can check the post out in my stories! . . . . .
