A young woman with long brown hair is sitting in what appears to be the passenger seat of a vehicle. She is holding up a burgundy passport, likely a Greek passport based on the context provided. She is wearing a light blue face mask, suggesting the image was taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. The woman has a warm, friendly expression and her blue eyes are looking directly at the camera. The background is slightly blurred, but it seems to be the interior of a car or other vehicle.

Dual culture (or more) kids: I’m talking to you! •• There are different versions of us: second-generation immigrants, third-culture kids, etc. If you were raised between two cultures, comment what they are below! •• I find that, without meaning to, I end up with lots of close friends that immigrated young or are 2nd-gen immigrants. Not just from Greece; from all over the world. •• In a weird way, we understand each other’s experiences even more than the two cultures we find ourselves between (in my case, US and Greece). •• For most of us, our lives have been about trying to walk the line and bridge the gap between our parents’ culture or homeland culture and our current country. Preserving heritage while operating in a different society. It can feel disorienting at times. Just a little out of place wherever we are, wherever we go. •• But I’ve also learned to appreciate the upsides of this cultural tightrope walk. The ability to constantly adapt, question norms, and pick and choose the best of each way of life you’re exposed to. •• What has your experience been? . . . . . . #secondgeneration #dualcitizenship #passport #gltlove #dametraveler #greek #greekamerican #multicultural #goexplorenow #traveltheworld #europe #usa #worldtravel #greece🇬🇷
