Welcome to Angelino Heights, one of the oldest neighborhoods in LA (est. 1886).
••
Nestled between Echo Park and Chinatown, Angelino Heights became the first recognized historic area of LA thanks to its beautiful old Victorian houses. Many of them are located on Carroll Avenue, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
••
With all the hills and Victorian architecture in the area, you could easily mistake this part of LA for San Francisco. Which is why the houses here are often used for exteriors of shows set in San Francisco but filmed in LA, like “Charmed”.
