Best of week two [52 weeks series].
The series continues with a shot of Latourell falls taken this last Sunday. we arrived at the falls right around 1:30pm, which is typically not the best time of day to shoot. we wandered down the lower path, it was brutally cold as the wind and ice cold spray pushed against our faces.
We quickly headed back up to the upper trail, and as we came over the ridge looking across at the falls we began to see the light pouring over the cliffside. the light streamed through the fog & spray creating faint light rays here and there. I got my camera set up, and waiting patiently I took a few shots.
I wasn't sure what I was waiting for until the wind kicked up and a massive amount of spray was whipped up above the falls. mixing with the fog it created a moment of the most beautiful rays & clouds of light I had ever seen. I furiously snapped away until the wind died down..
I learned that day to never be afraid to shoot at "inopportune" times, as moments like these can happen when you least expect it, and if you don't get out there and take advantage of every moment, you may never experience them!
So get out there! enjoy moments, and enjoy your weekend folks, here's to adventure and week three of the new year!
