This location took my breath away both literally (on the hike up) and figuratively. I’d hike the 18.5miles again in a heart beat to have this place all to ourselves. We chilled on a cliffside, cooked up our dinner (which, might I add, back-packing food has never tasted better) and shouted gleefully as the sky absolutely lit up. My body ached from the waist down for the next two days but it was 100% worth it. Easily the best sunset of 2019... 🌄
Kicking back as I patiently waited for the sun to line up perfectly behind Merrick Butte😌☀️
