A lone figure in a bright red jacket is walking along a pristine sandy beach, leaving footprints behind. The beach is framed by rugged, rocky cliffs covered in lush green vegetation and towering evergreen trees. A small waterfall cascades down the cliff face, adding a serene touch to the scene. The ocean water is a striking turquoise hue, reflecting the overcast sky. In the distance, jagged sea stacks and rocky outcroppings dot the shoreline, creating a dramatic and picturesque coastal landscape reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest.

While I was sitting down by the river today, listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore as each boat passed by, I was brought back to this trip down the coast to meet up with @miss.rover & @jdesotoart only about a month ago. It made me think about the different ways I feel refreshed. As of late it’s been a lot of fresh mountain air, swimming in lakes and rivers and feeling the warm summer sun; I have honestly enjoyed this summer season more than any before in my life, which feels odd given everything else going on in the world right now... I also realized that although those things are what’s refreshing me currently, I most often I find myself refreshed by the sounds of the ocean; the waves, the wind, the gulls and even the smells. I think that it reminds me of home, growing up on an island up in Washington. These sights, scents, and sounds are what helps me to unwind, and to calm my mind, which is what I feel leaves us feeling refreshed. This was a bit of a rambling caption today, but these are the thoughts my mind wanders to as of late when I’m not thinking about current events and or all the other stressors currently pressing against us. Where do you find yourself feeling most refreshed?
