Underground Lagoon in Santo Domingo

Can you believe this gorgeous attraction is in a city? ___ On my #NaturallyDR trip, I spent some time in the Dominican Republic's capital of Santo Domingo. Along with historic colonial architecture, interesting cultural attractions and a vibrant nightlife scene, there's also an opportunity to explore a stunning subterranean world. ___ Within Los Tres Ojos National Park there are ancient underground caves, crystal lagoons and lush flora. The native Tano peoples believed this to be a holy site, and today it sits beautifully preserved. Best of all, it was just a 15-minute drive from Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone! ___ #beyondtheguidebook @godomrep
