Top Weekend Hikes Near NYC

*TOP HIKES IN NEW YORK STATE - WEEKEND GETAWAY EDITION* (save/share!)⁠⁠ 😍👇⁠⁠ What are your favorite hikes near NYC that can be done as a weekend getaway? ⁠⁠ 🥾⁠⁠ In my last IG post, I shared a list of my favorite day hikes from New York City. Now, I want to share my favorite trails in destinations that require more than a day but that are still easily accessible from NYC, including:⁠⁠ ⛰️⁠⁠ Mount Marcy (beginning of trail pictured here).⁠ The highest peak in New York at 5,344 feet, with 360-degree views at the top! ⁠Hard, but the BEST HIKE I've ever done in NY.⁠⁠ ⛰️⁠⁠ Mount Van Hoevenberg.⁠ Lovely forest, a beaver pond, wild berries, and gorgeous Adirondack views. ⁠⁠ ⛰️⁠⁠ Giant Ledge (check my IG Stories for this STUNNING view).⁠ Short but challenging, it's totally worth it for the view that seems to stretch for miles -- and is super colorful in fall. ⁠⁠ ⛰️⁠⁠ Overlook Mountain.⁠ This popular hike near Woodstock is great for solo travelers and offers beautiful views from the top. Abandoned hotel ruins + a fire tower enhance the trek!⁠⁠ ⛰️⁠⁠ Cat and Thomas Mountain Trail.⁠ A lovely hike winding through forest and past water features, with a beautiful vista at the top.
