For me, the first thing I think about when I read it is how solo travel has changed me for the better. It's fun to think back to my first solo trip almost 10 years ago, how terrified I was to fly to Southeast Asia on my own as I pictured all the negative things that could happen to me. In the end, any issues that occurred on the trip I solved because, hey, when you're in charge of yourself you have to. That trip -- and the solo adventures that followed -- helped me grow my relationship with myself, enjoy ultimate control over my itinerary and made me realize just how much I'm capable of. . .
