The Beauty of Solo Travel: Finding Stillness Within
Have you ever traveled solo? Or would you ever?
✈️
One of my favorite parts about solo travel is it forces me to get out of my routine, while also giving me the space to reflect — like I am here in the lovely Chester, England (#sponsored). 💡
During the time I was working to take my blog full-time, I worked hard to create a life without routine; but the truth is, even though my blog is a work-from-anywhere business that provides me time-freedom and flexible schedule, I still end up creating a schedule for myself.
📒
When I'm on the road, though, that schedule disappears. My curiosity is ignited, my heartbeat slows a bit, and I see nothing wrong with sitting on a park bench for a while just taking in the scene and sitting quietly with my thoughts -- something I never think to do while at home in New York.
🚕
Even if you have no desire to travel solo or can't travel right now, I challenge you to put away all distractions and just sit. Watch. Think. Write. Be still. You'll be amazed at how this practice can help you grow your relationship with yourself.
