Solo Female Traveler's Guide To Lativa, Riga & Beyond
In this short Latvia travel guide video, I share highlights from my solo female trip to the country.
Before visiting, I had no idea what to expect! A few travelers told me there was "nothing to do," but wow, were they ever wrong.
In my one-week trip to Latvia, I couldn't fit in half of things I wanted to experience!
Not only is Latvia's capital of Riga enchanting, with its diverse architecture and cobbled Old Town, but the country is so lush, offering numerous opportunities to take outdoor adventure day trips.
Want to see for yourself what makes Latvia such an enchanting destination for solo female travelers -- and honestly all travelers in general?

Most tourists to Latvia spend their time in the capital of Riga's charming Old Town, with its street buskers, cobbled roads, lively eateries, and medieval architecture. What I found beyond Old Town was also unforgettable. Like the gorgeous Alberta Street. The social Labietus Brewery. Numerous lush parks filled with birds. The big, bustling central market. Hip cafes around Old Saint Gertrude's Church. And seriously gorgeous views from the Akmens Bridge. Oh, and watching the sunset from the 26th story Skyline Bar was a true trip highlight. I also explored nature outside of the capital. New experiences like visiting the seaside resort city of Jurmala on the gulf of Riga. Scenic hiking in Kemeri National Park. I mean, how gorgeous is this place? And how cute are these ducks? I went overnight jungle trekking with the Latvian Element, a challenging but eye-opening experience. Something else incredible? Paddle-boarding at sunrise on Lake Kisezers, with SUP Adventures, as well as wandering castle ruins in the medieval town of Cesis. If you love enchanting places, then you'll love Latvia.
