Jessie on a Journey
A striking image capturing a sacred site nestled in the rugged mountain landscape of Bhutan. Numerous small, intricately crafted tsatsas, which are stupa-shaped clay statues often containing ashes of loved ones, are meticulously arranged on the rocky ground near the entrance to a temple or monastery. These tsatsas are believed to aid in the liberation of souls, reflecting the Buddhist spiritual traditions of the region. The vibrant colors of the tsatsas, ranging from rich reds and yellows to earthy hues, create a striking contrast against the earthy tones of the surrounding rocks and foliage. The image exudes a sense of serenity and reverence, inviting contemplation and appreciation for the local culture's deep connection to nature and spirituality.

Near the entrance to the temple are also myriad tsatsas hidden in the rocks.
