Rock Climbing at Timna Park's Ancient Copper Mines
Timna Park reminds me of a mix of Sedona, with its otherworldly red rock sandstone formations. Encompassing over 23 square miles and surrounded on three sides by cliffs, the park is one of the worldās oldest copper mines, over 6,000 years old. Interestingly, where Timna Park resides was once an enormous Egyptian copper mining enterprise, and today you can see copper demonstrations and learn about the history throughout the park. Here I am above Hathor's Temple, an Egyptian temple built during 14th century BCE for the Egyptian miners. Thanks @travelbreak @stephbetravel for taking the photo :)
