Quarantine Birthday Reflections

All dressed up and nowhere to go. 💄Actually, my #QuarantineBirthday ended up being a lot of fun: 🥳 Andy and I “went to a concert” -- aka watched the @Glblctzn livestream and danced around the living room, which was basically going to a concert with the whole world. There was no need to wait in line for the bathroom or to get a drink, either! 🎶 We “went out to eat” -- aka we ordered a 3-course meal from one of our favorite restaurants. As a quarantine special they even threw in a free bottle of wine! 🥘 We “went to my birthday party” -- aka I hopped on Zoom with some close friends for games, snacks, and connection. And nobody had to do any late-night subway trips! 🎂 Truthfully, I am eager to get back to connecting with family and friends in real life. And while #QuarantineLife certainly has its challenges, practicing gratitude reminds me it actually isn’t that bad and we have a lot to be thankful for right now. 🙏 Andy and I are healthy and have a warm place to live, and I personally have loved how quarantine has pushed me to be creative. I actually took a storytelling performance class the other night -- something I’ve always wanted to do but have admittedly been nervous to try. I also went to a virtual writer’s salon, something else that I’ve wanted to try but haven’t had the time to do before. 🌏 Also just knowing the whole world is going through this together is pretty crazy but incredible. While I physically celebrated my birthday with just Andy, in a way I was right there with the whole world at home. #StrongerTogether 💪 Check my Instagram Stories for quarantine birthday pics! 😻 ___ * * * #TravelFromHome #LiveYourBestLifeNow #liveyourbestlife♥️ #stayhomechallenge #staythefhome #stayhomesavelives #stayhomesavelives❤️
