Hiking the Path of the Gods in Italy's Amalfi Coast
So excited to be taking over the @PassportByForbes account today to share all about my Path of the Gods trek along Italy's Amalfi Coast.
___
The steep hillside scenery and gulf views of the hike are not only gorgeous, but also tell a story. Actually, the Path was created by Greek settles in the 8th century BC, and later offered a hideaway for monasteries. Today you can see a mixture of abandoned stone homes and current dwellings where locals grow everthing from tomatoes to wine grapes, a true testatement to the resilience of the local culture. I think I stopped for photos at least 102 times (and of course a Spritz, as there is a cliffside restaurant and bar along the way!). ___
Check out Positano in the distance. So close but so far! We did eventually make it there 😉
