Jessie on a Journey
A young woman with long dark hair is standing next to a historic red brick structure with ornate stone archways, which appears to be the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. The woman is wearing a floral dress and has one hand raised to her hair, striking a casual and relaxed pose. Behind her, the iconic bridge stretches across the water, with scaffolding visible on one of the towers, suggesting ongoing maintenance or restoration work. The scene is framed by lush green trees and a cloudy blue sky, creating a picturesque urban landscape.

Fear or excitement? Reframing emotions for solo travel

Fun fact 👉 Did you know that both *fear* and *excitement* are arousal emotions? 😮 This is something I always keep in mind when traveling, as I'm constantly stepping out of my comfort zone, trying new things, and visiting new places on my own. 🤸 So when your palms start sweating and your heartbeat quickens, you can do an exercise called “anxiety reappraisal" and swap that “I’m so anxious!” with “I’m so excited!" 🥳 It's one of my favorite tactics for keeping stress at bay as a solo traveler!
