Exhilarating Hang Gliding Adventure in Virginia

Was I terrifed to go hang gliding? YES. Am I so, so, so glad I did it? ABSOLUTELY! ___ Wow, what a rush! @virginiahanggliding on Virgnia's Eastern Shore offered an incredible first-time hang gliding experience for me. I've been sky diving, bungee jumping and paragliding, but this felt much more serene. ___ From 3500 feet I could see Virginia's barrier islands, the Chesapeake Bay, Tangier Island and the beauty of the state's coastal side from above. ___ While most of the trip we floated -- I even got to steer the glider -- another part of it included owner Don Guynn​ doing some deeeeeeeep dips to the side (called "wangs") that made me feel like we were upside down. I'll admit I closed my eyes and screamed like a baby for that part, but was so happy I got to experience it. ___ Face those fears. Try new things.
