She is wearing a floral and patterned blouse or dress, and her hair is casually styled. The image conveys a sense of relaxation and enjoyment, suggesting that she is dining alone and savoring a leisurely meal with a glass of wine and perhaps a book or journal, as she mentioned in the accompanying text. The background is slightly blurred but shows a rustic or cozy dining setting.

Dining Alone: A Treat or Bore?

Dining alone - yay or nay? 🥘 It’s funny. One of the most common fears I hear from those about to take their first solo trip is that they’re nervous about feeling awkward/bored/lonely/etc when dining alone. 😓 Actually, though, I LOVE dining alone! While I don’t eat out every night on a solo trip, I do look forward to local meals enjoyed at a small table with a glass of wine while I read a book or journal. 🍷 📚 😃 To me, this feels like such a treat; like I’m taking myself out on the perfect date (because I am both the planner and the recipient!). 💕 What are your thoughts on dining alone? 🍱 Photo taken by a friend when *not* dining alone — because I don’t typically take photos of myself when I’m eating alone. 🤣 #BeyondTheGuidebook
