Brewers Row: Bushwick's Beer History

Wandering #BrewersRow in #Bushwick, Brooklyn. Can you believe in the 1800s these were all German breweries? Bushwick was such a hub for #beer during this time it's said that 1 in 10 beers consumed before Prohibition was from this area (then a town; it merged with the City of #Brooklyn in 1855). It's also hard to believe that until the 1850s Bushwick was largely rural. Interesting #history for sure!
