Transitioning to Full-Time RV Living: Our Journey and Memberships

We made the decision in April and were on the road by July the following year (~15 months in total). We needed a new rig and truck, wanted to make sure the kids could finish the school year out, get approval from our companies, and needed to work on the house before we listed it. ⁠ ⁠ It took us 6 months to find the right RV for us and during that time we purchased a new to us truck that ended up having major transmission issues, so we bought a new truck the weekend before we closed on our house. ⁠ ⁠ Our house was ready to be listed within 6 weeks and was under contract the first day for over asking price. We closed 25 days later. We actually were "homeless" before we originally planned so we spent that summer bouncing around Colorado until we offically set off. ⁠ ⁠ Some questions we often get are about mail service, insurance, and memberships we use. ⁠ ⁠ 📫Mail service: We use a family members house and have our domicile there for tags, taxes, voting, etc. Amazon delivers anywhere and if need we will have packages sent to the campground.⁠ ⁠ 💻Internet: We have an AT&T hotspot, it is through a 3rd party and is unlimited, rarely throttled, and works well. We also have @weboost to increase signal. Our phones have a hotspot too, but we rarely use it. ⁠ ⁠ ⚕️Insurance: All of it is through my husbands company.⁠ ⁠ 🎴Memberships: ⁠ ▪️We belong to @goodsamfamily for discounts at RV parks and @campingworld. ⁠ ▪️We recently bought @thousandtrails but haven't used it yet because we are waiting for the transfer to go through.⁠ ▪️We belong to @fulltimefamilies as well, which is a great community of fulltime families.
