We surprised the kids with a snorkel tour and swimming with manatees in Crystal River. This is the only place in the country you can legally swim with manatees. We did this in early December and the day we went was windy and chilly. The water was really cold even with the wetsuits. Addy and Jeremiah did not want to get back in the water after the first stop because of the cold, so Steve gladly stayed on the boat. We saw a cow and its mother, and a juvenile was very curious and was twirling around us at the second location. We highly recommend adding this to your bucket list.
