Self-Reflection on Missed Reservation
Sometimes I am my own worst critic
If you followed along on our stories over the weekend, you know that I completely messed up our reservation for this week.
I pride myself with being very organized and I have never messed up this bad with booking locations.
I was so disappointed in myself and apologized multiple times to my family as we drove for hours without knowing exactly where we were headed next.
Not having our next location confirmed brought out so many feelings of frustration, anger at myself, and shame for letting my family down.
I haven't had those types of feelings in a long time, and it was surprising how quick them came to my mind.
In the end, we were able to get a spot at the original campground for a few days (🤞 hopefully the whole week) and it all worked out wonderfully.
I know I am not the only one who is their own worst critic. I wanted to share what happened and my feelings to let you know it's ok when things don't work out exactly the way you want. It's ok to have negative feels about yourself and what you've done. Just don't stay in that space for too long.
Thank you for the sweet DMs and encouragement to give myself grace. I am grateful for the support and this amazing community that lifts me up when I am feeling down ❤️
