Exploring Outside the 303
The image depicts the Oklahoma City National Memorial, a solemn and introspective site dedicated to honoring the victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. The Memorial features a striking architectural design, with black granite structures partially submerged in a serene reflecting pool. The still waters of the pool reflect the surrounding buildings and the few visitors strolling along the Memorial's pathways, creating a tranquil and contemplative atmosphere. Barren trees line the perimeter, adding a sense of renewal and resilience to the scene. The clear blue sky overhead provides a poignant contrast to the somber tones of the Memorial's design. This powerful image invites reflection on the tragic event while offering a space for healing and remembrance.

Oklahoma City National Memorial Visit

A place to remember, learn, and heal 💗 We had the opportunity to walk through the OKC National Memorial and talk with the kids about what happened and the consequences of others actions. The Memorial was beautifully done and we loved listening to the reflection pool. It's been 25 years since the bombing, I was just a bit older then Miah when it happened. Traveling gives us chance to see all the beauty of nature and cities, and different cultures in each state. It also affords us the opportunity to learn about history and reflect on what can be learned. Today was one of those days. If you find yourself in OKC the Memorial is a must see, even for littles. We had great conversations and enjoyed the downtown area afterward.
