Kayaking to Little Conch Island in the Florida Keys
Kayaking in the Keys
Being in the water while in the Keys is like adding sugar to ice tea... when you're in the south...making it so sweet that your lips pucker up. If you know anyone from the South, you know they love that sweet tea! Being on the water makes your time in the Keys that much sweeter!
We went kayaking with friends and went to this amazing little island called Little Conch Island. From the marina at the campground we paddled under the famous 7 mile bridge and landed on the island.
Between the hermit crabs, sea urchins, and the ever elusive red starfish, we all had a blast exploring.
I took the kids to this exact spot 2 years ago. THeir favorite memory was the swing. The swing is in a slightly different location now (swipe to see tiny Jeremiah on the swing 🥰) but it was fun non the less. Swinging on the island overlooking the ocean is what dreams are made of.
If you find yourself on Sunshine Key, I recommend taking a kayak to the island and live it up for the day.
Are you team kayak or paddle board?
