Honest Thousand Trails Review for RV Campers

An honest Thousand Trails Review We have been TT members for about a year and have stayed at 12 TT campgrounds. The biggest thing to know with TT is to have the right expectations. Most TT have the basics like pool, laundry, playground, etc. Which is find and dandy, just don't assume you are going to be in love with every park. Some are definitely better then others. We found that most west coast TT campgrounds do not have sewer at every site, there is a dump station available and we saw a lot of people use the dump caddy's. Not a big deal but makes it a bit interesting if you plan to stay longer than a week. In Florida, the TT campgrounds are tight for a big rig, even when we had a 36 ft travel trailer, it was tight to navigate. We will be doing the TT shuffle this winter so I can report back on that later. My biggest complaint is the first come, first serve model. Some TT campgrounds are very tight and it makes it interesting driving around with a big rig. I would rather be assigned a spot based on size. We have seen far too many small rigs in a spot made for a large rig. I get it, they were there first. My only other complaint is that the websites do not list all the costs - laundry, mail, wifi, etc. We were at one location and they charged $25 per piece of mail to be delivered there 😲 We found that out after the fact. Overall, as a fulltime traveling family I think this membership is worthwhile if you are going to travel in the areas they are at. The initial cost and yearly fees are far less then paying for individual campgrounds. It has saved us money overall. Have you stayed at TT campgrounds?
