Exploring Outside the 303
A family of four is posing for a picture in front of a rustic building with a sign that reads 'La Posta'. The building has adobe-style walls and a wooden entrance, typical of traditional southwestern architecture. The family consists of a father with a beard wearing a red t-shirt, a mother in a black and white patterned dress, a young girl in green shorts and a purple shirt, and a younger child, likely a toddler, in the mother's arms wearing a purple shirt. They are standing amidst small cacti and other desert plants, suggesting a setting in the American Southwest or Mexico. The sign indicates that 'La Posta' is likely a restaurant or establishment they visited during their travels.

Historic Southwestern Town and Restaurant Experience

A great find 5 minutes from our campground was Mesilla Plaza. It is an adorable town with a lot of history, shops, and restaurants. Billy the Kid was sentenced to death at a courthouse on the plaza. It's now a gift shop. We ate at La Posta de Mesilla and it was hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants we've tried since hitting the road. 〰️ Kaylee has been looking forward to New Mexico mexican food as it's similar to mexican food in Colorado. La Porta de Mesilla had great decor and reminded us of a restaurant we'd find in CO.
